General Information
Limestone is natural sedimentary rock deposits composed of calcium carbonate. All limestone quarried or mined by US Lime falls under the classification of high calcium limestone.

Markets
High calcium limestone is utilized in the production of construction materials such as roofing shingles and asphalt paving. It is also used as an additive to agriculture feeds, in the production of glass, as a soil enhancement, in flue gas treatment for utilities and other industries requiring scrubbing of emissions for environmental purposes and for mine safety dust in coal mining operations.

Customer Information
US Lime's high purity limestone is sized to the customer's specification and in addition can be processed further and supplied as:

  • PLS — Pulverized Limestone — or GCC — Ground Calcium Carbonate — or Rock Dust — with grades of mean particle size from 20 mesh to 325 mesh

  • Agricultural Limestone or Ag-lime
